Where The Fog Lifts

Uploaded: July 19, 2016 | Entered: July 19, 2016 09:05:01

Description

Vineland, Ontario, minutes from my home, is backroads full of family vineyards... and there is something about fog lifting over a gray scene, that when the White Balance is set correctly in camera, greens in nature take on lush and jewel-like tones.
Slight dodging and burning in processing allows the rows of grapevine to distinguish themselves but the correct white balance setting in 'cloudy' +1 did all the heavy lifting for this in camera.

I see you're still shooting, Christine. Good for you. Nice, lush landscape. I had abandoned the camera for several years to take up drawing, but my hands got too bad to continue that, so I've gone back to my camera (a Nikon D40, which I see you had before going to a D80. I guess I should consider an upgrade myself now for that matter.) #11504997
