This is one very fantastic image, Laura. Talk about impact!! I have been so saddened of late to see how our flag has been treated. Mom and dad had a flag on a stand right in our living room and we pledged allegiance to it. And in school each morning and at the beginning of all major events. Even basketball games my brother was in. Kids are not being taught this respect anymore, or shall I say it has been drastically cut back. Being a proud American seems to be losing its meaning and it's really very unnerving to watch. If a person wants to live in the USA so badly, then they should honor it and I feel that begins at our flag and what it stands for. This images speaks volumes to me as a proud American. It's such a sad image. BRAVO! #1657780

I agree totally with what both Lauras said, it is SO sad that God and country are no longer honored by so many. I was raise to honor God, family, and country, in that order. When I think of all the men and women who gave their lives for the blessings and freedoms of this wonderful country, it breaks my heart! BEAUTIFUL image and tribute!! <>< #11477953

I love this image because it so powerfully represents our beautiful flag and the callousness with which it has been treated. I loved saying the pledge of allegiance. And in my opinion if someone burns the flag they should be deported! Beautiful image! #11478028
