Description

The adventure in this photo is just a speck of light, barely visible and easily mistaken for camera noise. But the 4 points of light visible on El Capitan are the lights of the climbers sleeping on the rock. They will spend the night harnessed to the granite face to continue climbing in the morning. For me, YNP is always such a great adventure (even without attempting to climb El Cap!) and one that never ceases to amaze and inspire. (Technical Info: 30 second expsore at ISO 1600. This scene was so dark I only guessed at the composition and focus and then waited for passing car. Neat Image software was used to reduce the visible camera noise.)
