Description

Abstract of one of my mom's great old DJ demo albums; The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Jazz: Red Hot and Cool. It doesn't get any better than this when it comes to jazz. In the late 50's, mom had her own radio show in Panama City, FL., called, "Carol's Corner". My mother then went on to work in the radio biz here in Denver for 40 years. The album cover photo is by Richard Avedon for Helena Rubinstein and was used in the advertising and promos for her new lipstick, of the same name as the album. In a cross promotion with Rubinstein and Columbia Records, a record with 4 cuts from the album was included with the purchase of a lipstick. What a deal!
