Is this your dog Beth? What a beauty... I love Labs. I can see a couple of over exposed spots in the snow and I think I would remove the twig at the top but I really like this shot. #1564979

Looks to me like that is the polite version of what he's thinking, Beth. #10985647

Dale Hardin February 25, 2014

I see Stephen's point, Beth. He looks a little miffed. Good job on not letting the snow go gray. Would suggest a few tweaks to open shadows on him and reduce blown areas on the snow, though. #10985653

Jeff E Jensen February 26, 2014

Yup, a couple of tweaks is all this needs.

Glad it's you with all that snow and not me. #10986065

What a beautiful dog! My dogs love the snow too, and we have at least that much :) #10986218

Debbie E. Payne February 26, 2014

I agree with the quick tweaks mentioned. Otherwise it is a great storytelling shot that perhaps he isn't very happy to be out in the cold and wondering why Beth is outside with that dang black thing in her face again; why can't we be inside cuddled up on the couch together?

How is he doing without his playmate?

Thanks so much everyone! I made the tweaks hope I got them right. I wanted to keep the glitter the snow had from that really bright thing in the sky that day!
Winter is getting on everyone's nerves around here, it needs to leave! We keep getting snow and tonight a wind chill advisory for sub zero temps.
Dazzle is patient when I stop to take some pictures, but she also will come and demand some treats!
Debbie, this is the first time in her life she has been the only dog. I think she misses Harley, but I have tried really hard to keep her busy with long walks in the snow and we have done some noseworks in the house! That is a new dog sport, where you teach them how to scent out birch to start with! She loves that! Thanks for asking!

nice job on the edits, Beth. #10986860

Beth Spencer February 26, 2014

Thanks Dale! Can you please send some warm weather this way and quit hogging it all?

Dale Hardin February 26, 2014

Wish I could, but the temp is down here also. Dropped to 72 today. Sorry. #10987032

Sherran Andersen level-classic February 26, 2014

72? That's still very nice in my opinion... been about 39 this last week for me. #10987060

Susan Williams February 26, 2014

What a great capture, Beth. That expression is priceless, and I love the dead stop. What a great companion. She doesn't seem to mind freezing her butt off, literally. Whaaaaa. #10987076

I love it that choc brown next to the white snow and her beautiful eyes show up so nicely. I think the edit looks great #10987579

We are at 5 right now - calling for -5 overnight :) Yeah! lol #10987615

Peter W. Marks February 27, 2014

The adjusted version is good so now I can just concentrate on wondering what Dazzle is thinking.

23F here, 10F for tonight, snow all gone but more promised for Sat and Sunday and 1F on Monday. Don't we all feel sorry for the old geezer having to shiver in 72F ? NOT! #10987691

Beth Spencer February 27, 2014

Really don't feel too sorry for his 72 degrees! We are 10 degrees now and will be -10 to-15 wind chill!! Still snow that will not go away!!
Dazzle is thinking : Either hurry up and start moving or give me a treat!
