Hey Joe,
This shot is ridiculously good! What effects did you put on it? Also, did you merge any pictures together to create it?
Nice job! #333797

Thank you Steve. Thats a great compliment. It's one picture, but I used 3 photoshop plugin's to finish the effect. The lightning is a plugin called Xenofex 2 by Alien Skin, and the water (although there was water in front before, just not as smooth) is by Flaming Pear called flood. I desaturated it using a 3rd plugin called Melancholytron also by flaming pear. The original image is on my web page www.joejaroszphoto.com under cities. It's a orange/redish photo. #2005225

Very cool combination of effects! You shot this from the planetarium/aquarium area, yes? You know it's crazy - I lived in that city for the past 4 years, and never thought to go out and take shots of the cityscape. This past year has shown a real spike in my interest in photography, though, so every time I see a shot like this I think, "Why weren't YOU out there, Dopey?" I'll have to settle for New York, now! #2005759

Correct it was right by the planetarium, on a small hill right on the North side of it. I worked downtown Chicago for 20 years and never really paid attention to all of the incredible scenes until I started to get into photography. Lucky for me I'm still here and I can get shots like this one and other.. though my job tried to get me to move to NY.... #2005795
