Mejiro in Sakura (桜) 2013

Mejiro, is the word for the bird, Japanese White Eye. Sakura, means Cherry Blossom. This photo was taken on Mt. Yadake in Okinawa, Japan JAN 11, 2013 at 3:24PM. It looks like Cherry Blossom Season has an early start this year. Using a tripod, folded as a monopod, the shot was taken at f/6.7 1/100 ISO 100 with a Pentax K5, Sigma 50-500 at 500mm, spot-metering and continuous shooting mode. Contest Category: Animals
