Littlebit made her transition to the Rainbow Bridge three weeks ago.
She gave us 16 years of unconditional love, as we nursed her thru life.
Born with multiple health issues, she showed us how to get on with life, and love.
We miss her so much.

Dear Mumj, This is such a precious photo of Littlebit. What beautiful expressive eyes she had.

We well know your pain in our home. You know we surely do. It's terrible to lose them or to have to make that decision to have them put to sleep. Horrible. They are so very much a part of us and our lives. And you had her for 16 beautiful long years.

You were the best family she could have ever had. Always remember that. Okay?

Pets are such great reminders of how we should treat one another ... without being judgemental and loving unconditionally. I know your dear kitty brought you so much comfort and joy ... but none of us can live forever, ... not here on earth anyway.

I really do believe that Littlebit has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and will be waiting there for you to join her. Don't worry because she is happy and not in any pain. NancyJ, I'm so sorry to hear about Littlebit's passing. When you lose a much-loved furbaby after 16 years, the pain is as great as losing a child.
Some people (who never have had such a deep connection to an animal) think it's absurd to compare the two. But you and I and everyone above who has "been there, done that", understand that love for a small and vulnerable being is the same, whether it's for a child or for a long-time companion. And the void in our hearts is also the same.

This one called out to me: "Open me up and take a longer look". Those amazing eyes, those wonderful whiskers, that deep rich b/g...and being a whole-hearted cat lover, I followed the "command"...and then, having been there myself so many times before, my heart broke for you reading your very sad commentary.
