Sailor Take Warning

Description

I worked on this old image over the weekend after my 19 year old nephew's short stay. He was called back home to Mobile Bay to help captain a large boat eastward through the Intracoastal Waterway to try to avoid hurricane damage. For those who don't know the phrase, it is: "Red sky at morning, sailor take warning".

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/100 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 32.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300S

Danny, I agree with Kevin - this really was an awesome sunrise capture!! :-) I do hope your nephew manages to safely relocate the boat to a safe/r haven away from hurricane 'Isaac', too!! :-/ #10291983

This is FANTASTIC looks as if the sky is on FIRE.
Wonderful work....
Hope all goes well as this sky would keep me FAR FROM A BOAT & THE Intracoastal .

Hands down, the most incredible morning sky I've ever seen combining not only the breathtaking beauty of a new dawn but with a palpable sense of foreboding also. Hope your nephew makes not only the boat safely thru the Intracoastal but himself and his shipmates, as well....and batten down your hatches too, Danny! #10292393
