This is Sara's way to get around:) Chris carry's her every where. He is about 6'3" and Sara is about 5'. They were a fun couple to photograph. We did their engagement and wedding. #1432600

Your timing on this is fantastic! I love that you caught just one of her eyes. Nice work. #9888537

Dale Hardin December 27, 2011

You're right Jeff. Perfect timing and the look of admiration on his face is priceless.

Have a few suggestions on the exposure however. Give this a try Sue. Import the image into your raw editor and use the recovery slider at 100%. Then open and adjust the black slider in levels to 15%.

Finally add some sharpening and crop using the 8x10 vertical format starting in the upper left and stop at the bottom just above the railing behind his knee. #9888572

Congratulations on your EP!!! I love the way her hair is blowing in the wind, did you stage that or were you just lucky?

congratulation on the EP...very nicely capture but I am going to be the odd man out on this I don't care for the hair over the face I think its very distracting....just me being old fashion. but I will say having the one eye exposed did help it. #9889403

congratulations on the EP! I really like the lighting and color in this but i'm going to side with Rita. I don't care for the hair over the face. I think it would have worked better for me if you could have also seen part of her smile. I bet they were a fun couple to photograph :-) #9890114

Sue I like the shot. The hair over the face and the hint of a smile behind her hair adds a bit of glamour to the shot in my opinion. I do find the lighting a little harsh, but I think the suggestions Dale made will help with that. I also think tightening up the crop, again per Dale’s suggestion, is a good idea and will add to the appeal of this photo. #9891634

I don't have anything further to say beyond Mike's comments and "The hint of a smile behind the hair". Absolutely! Nice one Sue. #9898554

This is pretty cool Sue.... I am rather ambivalent about the hair... I think it rather suits, however, wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there. Look forward to seeing any adjustment you make. Overall, love the shot! #9898960

Sue, I looked at this image and read the comments and then never got back to it. I am sorry. My kids went back to their homes, Cleveland and Chicago, respectively a few days ago so now I am trying to find my way back into "normalcy" -- whatever that may be. I love the different things you do with your clients. I like this picture very much but do wish that her hair covers what is obviously a very beautiful face. But it got the EP nod from the judges, which it should, and I am sure you have many equally wonderful images of the both of them where her face shows so I think this one is different and deserves the accolades it got! Did you have a good Christmas? #9900296

I can't believe that I just did that two times in a row. Once with Dale's thread and now yours. I am going to have to go back to Thread Basics 101. Who can I do this to next? And I didn't even make a complete sentence. I should have said that "what I do wish is that her hair had not covered so much of what was obviously a beautiful face". Can you tell I am in a whirlwind, trying to catch up to all of you???? #9900301

I love the expression on their faces. I especially like the look she is giving the camera.
Congrats on the EP #9922477
