A Long Way To Anywhere!

Uploaded: November 28, 2011

Description

In October of 2009,I had the privilege to do the great Australian Outback drive to south West Queensland and South Australia. This sign on the edge of the town Thargomindah in west Queensland shows some of the distances people in remote areas of Aus. have to travel. At the time the temp was in the high 30's(100F) in a day long dust storm of high proportions as can be seen by the colour.

Amazing, Ian! It's the kind of trek we'd like to make, but not on our own! Just love those outback names! #9846775
