Silo Up!

Uploaded: November 23, 2011

Description

One of my first attempts at architecture photography. A converted barn into a recreational facility with a sitting area at the top of the silo. I love the stairs and steel with the outside light. Already looking forward to going back to practice some more. Converted to B/W in Adobe Lightroom. ISO200, 17mm, f8, custom WB, 1.0 sec. Canon 40d, 17-40L F4.

I ran out of room to discuss... but as much as I wanted the lines of the stairs and the steel I took extra time to also capture the texture of the walls. Having had to sandblast the insides there is a very rough feel to the walls that go with the rough heavy of the steel I think. I just really like standing at the base of the stairs I guess. LOL
