The Making of 'Winter Stalker #4':

The weather was dull and grey and my blood was up as I headed down to Lake Cathie in the hope of bagging more shots to add to my 'Lake Cathie Pride' series.

I was not to be disappointed as I stalked the Great White Egret (Ardea alba) while it stalked the shallows.

Once again, due to the limitations of my equipment and to keep to the idea for the series, I opted for an environmetal study, not a bird study. We get to see more of the lake that way.

Enjoy!

Hi Dennis;
I really like the light and dark tones. Neither overpowering the other. The birds placement emphasized the watery reflections. This must be a lovely place.

Talk about drawing your eye to the subject! Love the beautiful gray tones of the background, but my eye goes right to the egret! Well done! #9720116
