Nice shot of Bodie. I think this is the nicest of lighthouses to photograph in our area. Are you a "local"? I see a few shots of our lights. Not of the Cape or Corolla among your collection? None of these on my site at this time, they are all on film. I shot 35 mm and have some rolls put on disk to put on my site.
Your work is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your views.

Thanks! As you can see if you check out my portfolio, I'm a big fan of the Outer banks. I like Bodie Island for several reasons: it's convenient to Nags Head, etc.; there's a lot of open space giving you a chance for several different angles; and the crowds are usually smaller than at the other lighthouses. I've also been lucky last year and this to be there for some beautiful clouds. You can check some of my other images from this year's trip at my .Mac page:
