Those vibes exist because of Tootsie's compassion for and generosity to the struggling songwriters who were regular patrons in its early days. "Among these were songwriters like Hank Cochran, Harlan Howard, Roger Miller and Willie Nelson. It's also right next to the Ryman Auditorium. The area between the Ryman and Tootsie's and Tootsie's itself became an informal meeting ground for Opry performers and their fans. It's easily one of the most famous Country bars in the world, historically speaking."#1387218
