Thank you so much everyone, for your very kind comments. I've been busy this past week and a half moving to a new house and getting settled, so I've not had the time to respond like I would like to the wonderful feedback I've been getting on my work. I'm fairly new to this site, and I'm astonished at how active the critiquing and commenting is. A great bunch of enthusiastic photographers here!!

I'm delighted you all like my spider - she and I got to be quite good friends during the 6 weeks she lived on my patio, and I have well over a hundred pics of her. And I have to credit much of my success in photograhing her to the superb macro capabilities of my Nikon Coolpix 4500 - with no extra lens needed! It's awesome.... #100358

Once again... :-) Congratulations! Well deserved - and good luck with this one! #113449

Mary-Ella, we could have a contest just with your photos! Every one is amazing. I can't believe you got this shot with the 4500! It's a great macro photo. Good luck on all your finalist wins. #114441

OHhhhhhhhhh cool! Love bugdom shots! Congrats and Good Luck! Cheryl #115903

Lol... I have to laugh at your comment, Cheryl - I love bug shots too! But I'm finding that, if it isn't a pretty butterfly, there are alot of folks who don't share this particular fascination. (Ie., they hate spiders, so they also dislike spider photos) Oh well...

Regardless, thanks for commenting, and thank you also Cathy, Sharon, and Evy. I truly appreciate it. #116036
