Innocent Excitement

Description

Ricketta Glen State Park, PA
After a long climb to the top of Ganoga Falls I sat on a rock to enjoy the view (read: catch my breath). Suddenly this curious little hiker walks into my enjoyment. At first I wasn't sure he was going to stop and walk right over the 90 foot drop. His mom came and grabbed him by the arm for safety as they both enjoyed the roar of the rushing water. So I grabbed my PEN for a quick silhouette of the moment.

Its always so special when we get that extra special thing to come into our picture and add so much to it. What a wonderful moment this was for you and I know you were ready for anything and was not going to let a golden opportunity like this slip away. I love the rush of the water, the vertical drop, and that extra special silhouette of the boy taking it all in. Incredible photography my friend. Have a great day. #9399814

If there ever was a photo used for the public of the joys and wonder of this state park, this would be it, Marty. You were "Marty-on-the-spot" :) with this one and you've captured a moment this little boy will remember for the rest of his life - the thrill of the moment and the wilder-than-wild rush and roar of a turbulent falls gone mad on a spring day....I love it!!! #9399998

Thanks, everyone! Just the way this little guy walked up to the edge of the falls, stood there in awe, and marveled at the slendor, ignoring his mom's concerns of danger, seemed to represent the little kid in all of us--- you, know, the one that gets us out there to photograph it. #9401600
