Description

I am not 100% positive on the identification of this one but until I have found a better one, I'll leave it as it is. Shot in my back garden crawling around on the bud of a rose. This insect is very small, no longer than about 10mm. Of course the antennae are considerably longer. Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens. 1/250 sec. f/11. ISO 250. Manual Exposure. Manual focus. Camera tripod mounted. External flash. Flash EC -1/3. Windy day with significant movement challenged the shot thus

Exif: F Number: 11, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/250 seconds, Flash: fired, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 250, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 100.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D

Thanks Bill. Took several shots to end up with one I could work with. The breeze was pretty stiff so timing the moment of shutter release was the challenge. Oh yes, the bug had a tendency to walk around as well so capturing the shot before he decided to move to a different spot, well you know what that's all about. :-)
