Description

Perhaps this one is entertaining himself by watching the alligators on the other side of the fence. He didn't move much when I got close and had I had the macro lens mounted I could have gotten down to his eyeball level. I believe I could have gotten within an inch or two of him before he bothered to fly off. The 100-400mm lens won't focus that close though. Shot at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park near Gainesville, FL. Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM at 400mm. 1/400 sec. f/8. ISO 250.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 250, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 400.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D
