Young Male Elephant Seal [Pictures of Seals Pictures of Sea Lions Photos]

I drove up to San Simeon, Ca, (Piedras Blancas) to see the elephant seal rookery! There were mostly babies 2-3 months old and about 10 large males. This seemed to be a first year male, He had just waddled up to the beach. Shot today 3/08/11.

It would be hard to beiieve that he did'nt pose for you the way he is sitting up like that and the facial expression shows me he is one big ham who is enjoying this photo shoot.
