Description

I went to a fave feeder spot hoping to get Redpoll images. There were 4 other photographers already there set up with tripods and mega whopping huge lenses. It was very cold and it hurt to have my mitts off for more than a minute or two. I almost entertained the thought of heading home but I overheard talk about a Snowshoe Hare that usually shows up about 2pm to glean under the feeders. I waited around, entertaining myself with the birds that flew in. Two photographers left, then we were 3. Two pm slipped by and finally at 2:35 the hare was spotted in the bush. My serendipitous moment came later at home when I opened the images in my photo editor and noticed this image. The expression...priceless and the way his ear blended in with the tree...I had an Ah Ha moment. I hope this image qualifies as serendipity. Sometimes we are in the right place at the right moment and sometimes things come together positively over a longer time frame. This image embodied that idea for me this month.
