Quiet Moments

Uploaded: August 16, 2005

Description

A peaceful path located at the back of the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT. Shot at f/22, ISO 1600, 30 seconds with a Hoya R72 filter in B&W mode. Some burning, noise removal, and blurring with PSE2. This B&W IR captures had less noise than the earlier version I shot in color mode.

Thank you Roxanne. This was taken during a field photography class 2 days ago in 100 degree heat and high humidity in direct sunlight. I am glad it came out so it was worth the effort because I was so uncomforatble setting up that shot. #1725565

I love the look of the bench, and how the path just trails off into the horizon. Great framing and angle at which you shoot this. It evokes a very lonely emotion. #1760779

I just love this image, Wayne! Very calm and peaceful and the fact that it is in black and white is a plus! :) #1983964
