On Golden Pond

Uploaded: October 20, 2010

Description

Made at 10:00AM Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS with 2X extender (making it 960mm @f/5.5) handheld from my car. The window sill makes a great rest for this heavy lens.

The golden glow on the water is the reflection of a tree that has changed color for fall. As I was driving by the pond, I saw this fella swimming in the reflection and I just had to try and capture that accurately. This was minimally processed in Adobe Lightroom for exposure and clarity.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/250 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 600.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D
