Here ya go, Valarie! You hinted for some sign of Autumn. These fallen leaves lined up with changing ferns to create their own collage for you.
About an hour after this shot we had a bit of a bear scare, but I'll save that for another time.

This is a real WOW shot Marty, I am sure Valarie liked it. Superb color and the defused lighting made it perfect I think. We will see this one again I am sure of it. #8939176Tammy M. Anderson September 30, 2010
Gorgeous capture of the beauty of fall, Marty. Great composition, details and colors. Can't wait to hear the bear story. Nothing like a good bear tale. LOL. #8939237Monnie Ryan September 30, 2010

Bear scare? Bear scare? I can't wait to hear that story! :-)Val Feldman September 30, 2010
Well, I sure am glad you're one who takes hints easily and gee, I thought I was so subtle!!! :) Mr. Straub - you do this ol' Autumn loving heart so much good just looking at this...you know, we haven't the "proper" trees here in Central TX for a colorful Fall, so eying this menagerie of fall color (Maple leaves!!!!! No maples here!) makes me want to hop in my car and burn rubber all the way up North to MartyLand!! Gorgeous colors, beautiful light and wonderful textures...Ah, I detect a definite hint of autumn in the air....Thank you, my friend! #8939800Carol L. Fowler September 30, 2010
Yes- Fall at last! (As for bears, yesterday I had to treat a kid who was hurt bear hunting. I need to go hunting with them, as they see bears and cubs all the time!! But I would go with a camera.) #8939838frank w. degenhardt September 30, 2010
Marty- These kind of shots are fun to do because we normally walk right by them. Love the way you eyed this out, saw the potential, and then the beautiful outcome of the picture. I think sometimes we surprise ourselves.Laura L. Gonzales September 30, 2010

Well, now you've got me wondering about the bear, but also enjoying this collage of fall colors and changes. All of a sudden it feels like fall here too. Keeping things crossed that we finally get some color this year, after two years of not much of anything. Nothing yet though. #8944389Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
