Description

~Monthly Theme~
This Kangaroo has a time clock time hanging over it's head until the beurocrats make up their mind disregarding public outcry over the proposed culling in the district of Morisset NSW not far from where we live. We in Australia proudly display our national icon the Kangaroo on our Coat of Arms and then we kill it because it's a Pest, get's in the way of development. Have a great day. ~Pat and Graham

Great statement and DD work Pat!!Im really over the attitude of greedy developers in this country with no respect for wildlife and the environment!
I think this election has shown how many people are concerned with these sort of attitudes. #8855937

Great DD work and thought provoking text Pat, an excellent and unique theme entry!
I worry about the future of my country with the way the rat bags are running it at the moment, but if you look on the bright side, they can only improve! #8857464

Karen Kessler August 24, 2010

I hope they realize this is not the answer. Your photo hear should appear in some informational brochures to make your point! Great work adding the clock & such a beautiful Roo! #8859864

Phyllis H. Burchett August 24, 2010

Creative image and provocative statement you've made, good luck in saving the kangaroo. #8859914

Graham Robards August 25, 2010

Thankyou John, it is a bit of a worry the way the ratbags run our country isn't it!

But yes, they can only improve can't they! ~Pat #8860298

Graham Robards August 25, 2010

Thankyou Barbara, I'm waiting hearing the news on when the next meeting is about the Roo culling.

The residents don't mind them in their back yard mowing the lawn or hopping down the main streest of town.

What brought the Roos into controversy was a young woman hit a Kangaroo, it cost her $4,000 in damages so complained about them.

Excellent job, Pat! #8861978

Ellen Hodges August 26, 2010

Wonderful capture, Pat!! Hope that the decision can be made in the kangaroo's favor! People should just drive slower in the area. #8862295

Mary K. Robison August 26, 2010

Wonderful portrait and excellent MT entry, Pat!
Look at those shining eyes and that little smiling mouth...How can the Bigwigs even consider destroying her and other 'roos because a human female wasn't driving defensively?
I think Ellen's right: drive slower...if not, take the kangaroo off your coat of arms! You can't have it both ways, Big Shots! #8862569

Kirsten Kiki Kjaer August 27, 2010

Chris Ebben August 29, 2010

Very good DD work, you'll have to send this one in with my picture!! Isn't it such a shame how we allow such brain-deads to make the rules & run our country. And yes Wm, that was Pat!!! Very good work=^..^= #8869448

Carolyn J. Connolly August 31, 2010

SUCH a cute, adorable and endearing face, Pat...how could anyone hurt it!! :o( Just a fabulous kangaroo portrait here, my friend!! Great dd work, too...and I thoroughly agree with what you said above!! :o/

I also totally agree with what Ellen H, and then Mary R, said, "I think Ellen's right: drive slower...if not, take the kangaroo off your coat of arms! You can't have it both ways, Big Shots!"!! Extremely well said, Mary!! :o/

Brett really summed up what a LOT of us here think, too - like him, "Im really over the attitude of greedy developers in this country with no respect for wildlife and the environment!"!! :o/ #8872873

Graham Robards August 31, 2010

Thankyou Carolyn and friends for being so supportive of our dear Kangaroo.

It't the attitude of the greedy developers in this country, appalling and shameful. Big shots!

I thought I already commented on these two images Sis, but forgot to! I was actually sharing your two images with a girlfriend in California that wanted me to tell her was "Cull" meant. I told her it means KILL! And sent her the youtube you provided us plus two of your images. This being one of them. Wonderful MT. My heart if breaking for you and your dear animals.
