Easy Alisha. I do agree that "is this a joke?" is not constructive criticism (better Linda); however, I was attempting to elicit the very response that I got from some of you. I think that this subject matter is not interesting whatsoever and is especially non deservant of a POTD. Even Cathy said she did not think she would get the type of response she got. In sum, the underlying issue is that I have never seen one person in this discussion section ever criticize a photo. All anyone does is try to be warm and fuzzy to each other. C'mon, at least one of you said to yourself, "Man this picture is boring. .. how did she get picked for as the POTD." Be a little more critical people. #1837382

Well, I commented on it once, but since I have never seen so many thread comments Ill do it again. My email never stops, and I cant figure how to turn it off. anyway, cathy this is very pretty, and I dont know if you used Ps or some other digital enhancing program to soften it. If you did, I dont consider it a true photograph, but it is magazine quality and the effect was achieved. I am purist when it comes to camera photography as everyone knows, and if it was manipulated outside the camera I dont bvelieve it should be a photo of the day in the first place. Like I say though Im not sure, and if you achieved it in the camera I say great skill! Im just too lazy to climb back up the tree and see what you stated about the effects.

And dont let the others here rattle you, they are just jealous that you have one and they dont #1846543

once again thanks...i did not use any filters on this image...there was diffused light coming thru the sky light and I don't know why it looks like this but it does so thank you judges for picking this image and maybe we can finally lay it to rest...the POTD just isn't worth this...we can all cross our fingers and hope it doesn't win the grand prize...lol #1846577

Great, that makes you a photographer whether by accident or not. and I doubt if it will win but not because its not great, but only because the "judges" seem to look for oddball stuff whether it be staged shots of candy, or manipulated images of colorful photoshop efforts.
