Just Hatched!

Flamingo and baby at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, MA taken today (August 15, 2010). This is only the 2nd year the Franklin Park Zoo has had successful breeding of their Chilean flamingo population. This baby hatched a few hours before this photograph was taken and is still partly in its shell! Taken using a telephoto zoom lens, White Balance set to Cloudy, f/6.3, 1/250 sec, ISO 800, no flash
