Tern Looking for a Meal

Description

70-300mm at 300mm, 1/320 second at f/16, exposure compensation -2/3, ISO 200, around 1:30 P.M.

Terns' movements are typically quick and erratic while searching the water for a meal. I was surprised I captured this image because I wasn't set for taking images of birds in flight. I think this shot worked out because the tern flew close to where I was standing and slowed a bit to take a closer look below.
