Wild Short-earred Owl

Uploaded: July 11, 2005

Description

Sandusky Bay Region, OH

This bird was mantling a chipmunk or vole, early in the morning. I was on my belly with my tripod flat to the ground, it took a while but I was able to approach to within 30-40 ft.
