G'day CARLA!

I spotted this magnifcent landscape in the 'Competitors Edge' gallery and am still stunned by its rugged beauty.

Apart from a few Ansel Adams B&W photographs of this iconic geological feature my exposure to it has been minimal.
I feel you have caught the true essence of the peak's presence, isolation and structure here.
Your vantage point and framing have ensured we see a much more detailed view of the face than I have ever seen and your good depth and focus bring us interesting detail even under those harsh conditions.
I have read of Ansel and his companions exploits in reaching this peak and take my hat off to you for making this trip.
