Guadelupe Sand Dunes
Uploaded: March 04, 2010
Taken on New Years Day 2010. I was expecting a shoot of just the dunes without growth however the little shrubs did provide something interesting and different. This is part of the same stretch where Brett Weston and others photographed the Oceano Dunes. Unfortunately for photographers, Oceano is now a State Vehicular Recreation Area. Vari Filter used.

Lovely capture, Kristi. When I lived in California (miss it terribly) we literally lived next to the Oceano Dunes. There is a large section of the Oceano Dunes which are off limits to vehicles and are very beautiful (Ansel Adams shot there). They are hidden, but are easily accessed from a Trailer Park in Oceano. #1245322Kristi A. Howson March 05, 2010
That is cool. My niece lived in Oceano and told me not to even bother going there. Can you email me and let me know how to get to where the vehicles are off limits? Since I have a new grandson up in SLO I go up to that area frequently these days. THX #8433810Stefania Barbier March 05, 2010
