Good morning Tiia, Barbara, Stephen, Mary, Jeff, Ron and Monnie!Thank you all for viewing and commenting! So fun to see you all here!
Did you guys understand my title or was it too vague? I really enjoyed noticing all the MODERN people walking towards such an ancient structure. :) It struck me.
Well thank you for your patience with me everyone. We have been super busy with company and all the rest that comes with it. We still have family in town, just not staying here...
I'll be back as soon as time permits.
Yes Ron! No where is right! HA! Try again today however. You might have better luck. They are open 24hours on line, too...
3D Mare? HEY! COOL! :D
YES MONNIE! All it takes is one day on BP, for sure. Add several more to the pot and you have where I am. Eek!

Hey Mr. Tree! This was one that was on the "back 40" there. The main buildings that they used are even more famous. The actual pyramids, large games area etc..
They used to play this strange game like basket ball except they used a ball made of stone thrown through a stone circle and guess what? The CAPTAIN of the WINNING TEAM gets the honor of being KILLED.
Imagine this! #8429469

Hi Nancy and Mumj!I was working on another image from there today and just couldn't get the effect I wanted...Maybe I should just share the NORMAL images...?
We went to see these a few years ago. It was so fantastic to be standing there. They were a fierce and brutal race.
Not too sure I'd have wanted to live back then! In fact I know I wouldn't have! But it was amazing to learn about and to actually be there.
Mumj, tell Tink you need to go there. They have packages for really good prices. At least they did when we went!
Thanks ladies!

I've always wanted to see these Ancient Mayan Ruins. It must have been an amazing sight!! Did you climb all the stairs to the top, SSSL?Laura E. Swan March 05, 2010
Hi SSSKiki! No but I would have had I felt better. This was in 2007 and I was in my 5th week of the flu! It just never went away until one week after this shot. The first half of the trip I was in th hotel room because I didn't want anyone to catch it! :(NEXT TIME I WILL CLIMB!
The pyramids are now closed to the public. Too many people were defacing it and using it as a toilet inside. Can you imagine this? Very upsetting to hear this.
Thanks for the visit!

Hey! Nice to see you again Tommy! Thanks for the visit! (Now I owe YOU one! HA!) Maybe someday we will feel caught up. There is no such thing on BP however. It's a giant non stop circle of chatting friends. The best we can hope for is that everyone understands and excuses us when need be. :) I know I sure do.
Glad you like this one!!!! :D
