Description

Rose picture umm...adjusted. Mostly it was "find edges", "glowing edges", another "find edges" or two, and some colour adjusting like mad.

Sara

Stunning color, and wonderful detail in this rose image.

Like the darker background making this a standout.

I love your um, honesty about how you created such a lovley image Sara.....LOL.
Seriously though, all the things you did really enhanced this beautiful bloom.
Very well done!

Kerby, thank you. I contemplated making the background much lighter and almost having an all over pink picture, but the rose just faded away and looked less like a rose when I did. I'm glad you think I did the right thing. =) #1505278

Donna - Hehe...I have a hard time not being brutally honest. Ok, when it comes to me and my own stuff I tend to be a little harsh actually and knock my own stuff down. I just sold a picture (the original style of the Camellia picture in my gallery...the version before the computer editing though they are hoping to see the computer "enhanced" one as well before they take it home) from a show and was told I need to price my stuff higher and they won't pay what I asked! I'm thinking maybe I just felt guilty charging more since I cut the matte board myself and the frame was from Aaron Brother's buy one get one for a penny sale.

No need to thank me for visiting your gallery...I'm on this site to look at nice pictures, and there were loads of them in your gallery so of course I'd end up there! =) #1505302

Thank you Carolyn, you are very sweet!

I WILL visit Australia and NZ before I die. I almost did a year abroad in Perth actually. Then the guy who was stalking me had signed up to go too (mildly stalked...he wasn't out to kill me or anything. He just called about 20 times a day to see where I was. He also told me he'd had a vision of who he was supposed to marry when he was younger, and that I was IT. I never dated him and funny, but God had someone else in mind for me). I wasn't terribly scared of him here in the US, but didn't think I liked the idea of going to school together overseas, so I didn't go. Sure would have loved to though. Oh, and that guy ended up having to move back home to Canada because he didn't bother to pay any of his bills here in the US and I haven't heard from him since thankfully! #1510809

Congratulations on making "Finalist" Sara!! You know I think this image is beautiful. Great work and conrats :) #1748954

Thanks Elaine, I appreciate it. I was kind of surprised it got finalist because though it wasn't intended to be a dramatic sort of picture, that seems to be what the majority of the finalists in the same category are. I happen to like my picture, but it looks very different to me from the rest of them in the same group. #1748982
