Description

At The Eastern Shoreline of The
CANADIAN ROCKY MOUNTAINS
(Just Before Canmore, Alberta)
There Is A Small Lake On HWY 1 To Banff.
Across That Lake Is What You See Here.

It's a Gravel Quarry Chipping Away At
A Rocky Mountain.
(Guess they thought we had one to spare?)

Note: The Lake Water Is USUALLY CHOPPY since a
wind tunnel normally sweeps through here,
so this was a treat to see!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your great comments! They are much appreciated!

I totally liked this one and am so glad you do, too. Not all images work well with the Fractalius filter.

I LOVE reflective photography as well as many of you also do. This was one of my better shots to try it on.

Yes, Mr. Tree. Sad as it is...we do! :)

Thanks again all!

Laura E. Swan level-classic February 15, 2010

Hi Phil, Ann, Ron, Ellen and Tammy! :D

Thank you all. So much!

Banff is so delightful. Google it sometime and see more! It is awe inspiring for 360*. I mean that!

Banff national park is huge in itself. It covers many lakes and areas.

HOWEVER there is also a TOWN named Banff. It's at the eastern edge of the Rockies and greets visitors as they come through the park gates. Just a short drive from them...

Banff and Calgary are about an hour from one another but Calgary is also huge and it could take 2 hours from "home" depending on what part of the city you live in.

Thank you all very much for coming to see my little gravel quarry creation here.
