Momma tore out of the nest this morning in a Big Hurry. She then ripped a Squirrel out of a tree and flew all around the nest as the baby`s watched. She flew about 5 circles around and then dropped it into the nest as the Eaglets made all kinds of chirpy noises. Couldn`t quite see them as the nest is built up high on the sides to keep them in but I could hear them.Never saw them take a Squirrel though. Captured at F/8,1/1000,Iso800,400mm,Dark Ugly Morning, rain coming!.

this must be the Bald Eagle version.
Hope your weather improves....

Excellent capture Hal. It's so exciting to watch eagles. We stood in 18 degrees a few weeks ago and I didn't get any shots worth posting, but they are amazing to watch. Where is this? (PS I wish they would eat the squirrels in my yard! lol) #8369100Jyri Vissak February 09, 2010
