Tiia, Carol, Laura Lee, Hal and Amanda...
Thanks so much..
Ritz Cracker is now working as a Canadian Guide Dog (Canine Vision)... this picture was made when she was one year old... we volunteer our time raising these beauties for only the first year of their lives.. then, they go on to school to learn their specific skills to help someone.

We will be fostering another lab this summer if all goes as planned...can't wait!

Thanks again...

Oh Hi Pat and Graham, thanks so much for looking at Ritz... we can't wait either for the next pup..
My husband got me to FINALLY agree to ask for a male Lab, always fostered females... he thinks they are more compliant- easier to train!!

That should be interesting about the male Lab Christine, they are more compliant or should be going by other breeds. ~Pat #8364247

Christine Lobsinger level-classic February 07, 2010

Hi Karen, nice to hear from ya!! Thanks my friend!!

Yes, she just got up from rolling on the wet grass, was about to bolt towards a squirrel, but I stopped her in her tracks- I yelled 'WAIT'-and she did...

We can hardly wait to foster another Lab in July or Aug...

Beautiful capture of this beautiful dog! Nice work, Chris! Great that you got her to stop for you! #8370371

Christine Lobsinger level-classic February 10, 2010

Hi Thomas, thank you very much for checking out our fav. foster puppy, Ritz Cracker...
She is 5 years now and working as a Canine Vision Dog helping her companion whom is totally blind...
Ritz still wants to chase squirrels, but thank God she is calming down FINALLY! I guess it would be a shock seeing a blind woman being dragged down the street by her seeing eye dog!!

Yeah, I guess that would be a little startling to see, much less to experience. :)) What a great self-confident stance you got here in this lovely portrait. #8371560

Hi Mitch, thank you very much for popping in here.. love your comments above!

Yes Chris, it could be an adventure for the blind person to be led into a squirrel battle by such strong, energetic dog! Ritz Cracker might lose her job! LOL! #8372217

Christine Lobsinger level-classic February 10, 2010

Thomas, for 3 years Ritz did 'drag' her companion around or at least tried too when she saw squirrels, honestly!
Tracy tells us that being a Virgo woman and from the East Coast of Canada, lol.. she was NOT going to allow another female be the BOSS...
they butted heads for a long while, but she never gave up- she is the boss of Ritz.. and thank God, all is working out!
