Animals - January 31/2010

I didn't know elephants loved to play games like tug of war, elephant polo, soccer. They even enjoy dancing because they love music. Elephants are such social creatures that if used in a 'convoy' they need to be tail to tail to their friend or they may not move in the line.

What sweet things we have learned today about elephants! Makes me wish I had some! (You can't just have one!)

So are they building a sand castle there together?

Beautiful capture of these loving creatures, Chrissy! :)

Ha! Yep, we would need two elephants at least - I don't think they would like to be without another mate...
they are one of the most loving creatures on the planet.. that I know of!!
Not to sure BUBBLES and one would be able to live together though Sis..

Thanks for popping in today!!

Oh, the darker one came over to play with the other one (see the one that just kicked up dust??), well, that one wanted the stone ball for herself!!

BTW, lovely thumbnail pic SIS!!

Gorgeous capture Christine. I assume these elephants are in a zoo. I know at our zoo they do things to stop the elephants from getting bored. Zoos have certainly come a long way. #8351870

Hi Jean and Ann.. thank you very much.
Yes Ann, this was made at a zoo. They do have many toys to play with. I have a pic I made of them on either side of a tall wooden pole and on the bottom of this pole there is a chain with another ball..
Elephants are comical to watch..
