Description

This was from last Sunday in Zion National Park, Utah. The Narrows is a very photographic hike that follows the Virgin River into a spectacular gorge of Zion Canyon. At least 60% of the hike was spent wading and walking in the Virgin River. There is no maintained trail; the route is the river.

In January, the river isn't too high but I definitely needed a wet suit and specially designed hiking boots for walking and wading in the river. I rented them from a "Narrows" outfitting company which made it very easy to hike the Narrows.
