Hi Coco! WOW! Right into FAVS? COOL!!! Yes! I know what you mean about the neg space. This was about balance, too, and it was a delicate one. I had to really work this one in the lab so I could attain the right feel. Thanks for noticing this!!! Great to see you!

Pom, I'd never seen this image until five minutes ago, and my first reaction was, "What a creative way to introduce Santa Claus (for Christmas fast approaching)!"
I STILL think Santa's face is surrounded by his frac'd-out beard and hair, and the hand holding the light is his! Just because you show us a floral painting, you think I'll fall for your explanation? Nice try, Lady!
But that doesn't change my initial assessment --- it IS creative, to the MAX! #9758712

Laura E. Swan level-classic October 24, 2011

Hi Ann! Thanks so MUCH!!! :)

*

Hi Mare! REALLY? SANTA??? I love that, and I love SANTA TOO! HeeHee...Maybe it really IS him???

Writing you from my vacation. :D Having a blast. We went to the wine country yesterday. So beautiful!!! Today to a waterfall. :) About an hour away???

Anyway, this image was such an interesting work in progress. I didn't know WHAT I would end up with so I want you to just keep on picturing SANTA. :))) You have a wonderful imagination!!! (And I totally see what you are talking about!)

Hugs from Pom. #9758958

Awesome awesome awesome Laura!!!! Now that's what the frac filter is for!! #9768336

Karen Kessler February 26, 2012

You know, the final piece looks a lot like Santa looking at his hands! Take another look...don't you see it? His beard is so clear! :) #10004592

Laura E. Swan level-classic February 26, 2012

Gosh THANK YOU Julianne and I am so sorry I didn't thank you when you first posted. Sometimes life has us reading on the run! :) Thanks for all that you said! :)

*

Sister Kalena! I don't see it. You must have a more MERRY heart than I? Is he reclined on the right? Or he is standing up on the left and the bulk of his beard is the white mass is on the left...but then what is the rest of the white there? SNOW? HeeHee...

HELP ME! :)))) xo #10004946
