Fantastic portrait! I can see the drive and determination in his eyes. I just read about this young man the other day in our local paper :) #262700

Yes this is a really powerful image with lots of emotional impact. The angle and perspective add to the determined 'no-messing-with-me' feel to the picture, as does the menacing sky in the background. Great image, well done. #1464792

Thanks for all of your compliments, sometimes on a sports feature assignment the subject understands the image a photographer is trying to convey. This young man seemed to understand exactly what I was after - and he gave a look of determination and dedication that cannot be contrived, all I did was push the buttons ;->. Also, God helped out beyond my hopes with the pre-storm sky. #1465705

Jay..I really thought this image looked familiar! Now I know why :)
I was at one of my favorite restaurants and saw this on the front page of The Pitch. Must be exciting to get paid to do what we all love!
I love the image even more here, the sky makes it so powerful.
Are you around KC then, or did you just come here to do the shoot? #1471316
