Come January the 12th, I will
have been a farmers wife for
19 years. Of those 19 years...
18 summers have been spent
harvesting wheat. The one year
I missed was when our son, Denton,
was born. That was a Thursday,
on June 17th 1993. We were home by
Fathers Day that following Sunday.
The next day our harvest began.
By mid week, I took Denton to the
harvest field for his first
experience as a wheat farmer. LOL!!
I cannot imagine summertime without
wheat harvest. This is a part of my
'visiting the seasons past' series
that I am concluding the year 2009
with.....
