Description

12/06/09, Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. Chrysanthemum Fair. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I was going stir crazy and so, threw caution to the winds and broke my six week hold on photography due to an injured back! Thanks to my student, Vivian, who lugged my gear and was also a great photo companion! Unfortunately, we were a week late and most of the gorgeous showcase varieties had already waned.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/60 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 370.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 50D

What a beautiful flowers, Susan. I love how it looks like it's "Hair" is enjoying the wind going through it!!!!

Wonderful selective focus as well!

Thanks so much Laura! Just had a peek at your gallery, and as I commented, you've sold me on the fractalius filter! As to the "hair", the entire time I was shooting these mums, that was the thought running through my head--and it wasn't the wind--they grow naturally in these lovely curves! #8216755

How fun, Susan! :D They just GROW that way? Beautiful!!!

I left you a comment on the homeless fellow image. About Frac. :)

I just love that filter and have wanted it for some time now. It was a birthday gift! Yeeewho!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Now it is an important tool in my arsenal! I love my healing and smudge tools, too, and don't know how I got along without them! (I run off of Adobe PSE7).

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS! Fun to meet you!!!
