Excellent framing on this, Michael. I think you've achieved your goal of portraying bleakness... yet this shot is actually beautiful. #1219033Phil Stith January 15, 2010
A beautiful scene and nicely framed. Perfect in B&W! #8298775Mary Alston March 03, 2010
Nice composition with the contrast between the fragile branches in the foreground and the solid logs of the pier. #8429406Mary Alston March 03, 2010

Thanks, Mary. Years ago as a young man in the Army, all my photography was B&W, and I still love to see/do B&W photos. It sort of takes me back to my darkroom days and working with chemicals, dodging and burning. Seems like another lifetime ago now. #8429424Patricia A. Stalter June 18, 2010
The mood you were striving to convey ...is achieved! In fact all your work shows a love for photography. :) Pat #8703403Michael R. McKenney June 18, 2010
