Call me stupid but it never occurred to me that being on a blue background, it could be interpreted that this hawk was captured while flying. In fact, he wasn't - he was sitting on the arm of his trainer with his wings in a flying position and I positioned my shot so that a blue background at the flight show became the b/g for my photo. I am truly sorry for any misinterpretation of my unintentional lack of explanation...I just didn't think! #8194569

Stunning close up of this beautiful hawk Valarie!! I'm pretty much in agreement with Candice on this one. I shoot a lot of Eagle captures, and to get this tack sharp detail in the face and especially the eye, is a very hard thing to do. Actually if mine were anywhere near this sharp I would be a happy fella. Flawless capture and fav for me. Hope we see this one again! Exceptional work!! #8199888
