"I was young, he was old, we both were the same age...
Everyday playing fetch, shaking hands, he'd lick my face.
I wasn't aware the day would come

Then he died...

For the first time I knew what real pain was.
I was never the same again.
From that moment on, Real life began." -

Jeff Carson

Wow. I am speechless. This image. Your verse from Jeff Carson. I so identify with both. I wish none of us ever had to feel the pain of loss. It's about as bad as it gets.

A very deep and emotional entry, Sister. This song makes me want to pick up my guitar and write another song. It's been a while and maybe it's time.

Thank you Pat.

My love to you.

Those of us who love our dogs do know both that pain, but the overwhelming sweetness and joy they contribute to our lives! I would be lost without Rigby :)

This photo is so sweet, poignant, extremely well photographed and beautifully presented!
