This image has great personal meaning to me. I'm really glad you like it.
Pat, thanks for the song. This one wouldn't have been the same without it. It finishes my purpose here.
I took a ton of shots. I agree Pat. The balance of the image moves the emotions and this is what I wanted. The light was exciting to use. The conditions were perfect.

Also it is TOTALLY not easy to make an image "speak for itself" unless you are Stephen Zacker!!! HA! If you want to go see what I mean, ALL of his stuff has a voice and I find this type of art amazing. A huge challenge!

I'm s glad you asked! I took these on the side of my house.:) I have a IRON GATE there like a castle sort of.
The props are:
1) Shackles (and ball and chain in the other image) are from my Halloween Collection.
2) Keys - Bought at Disney World, Pirated of the Caribbean gift shop! They are really heavy.
PROPS, LOCATION & Lighting are EVERYTHING!!!

Hi Laura!!! Well...sometimes props are EVERYTHING! The sunlight was on my side that morning. It just worked out great. It was really cold that day, too. I didn't waste much time! :D It was a thrill getting back in the house to see how they turned out!
