Cherry Pickin'

Uploaded: November 09, 2009

Description

----------
Sadly, the cherry days are gone forever for the countless generations of neighborhood birds that have enjoyed them for decades. The old tree's "funeral" day was blessed by an incredible backdrop of Autumn majesty to bid it a fond farewell..
------
The "lower forty" last week. More than a dozen diseased and dangerous old trees were felled next door and in our yard.

Heartbreaking to see these old sentinels go after generations of standing watch...but "diseased and dangerous" sure sounds like a fatal diagnosis...you gave them a wonderful farewell tribute via this capture, Michelle - time to plant more fruit trees! #8116203
