Joe - the colouring on this beach landscape is wonderful.

Thanks Donna. You are most welcome to head West as long as you dont take all the good photos and leave me none!! I havnt been Eastwards for over 20 years,so I too must one day get out of my state and revisit some of the great places over your way.Always great to hear from another 'downunderer'.Thanks again. #1410714

Fantastic colours Joe. And the vast openness of the ocean and not a sole there. Just how I remember WA. Make me want to return too! #1438059

Joe this is stunning.

Love the soft colors and the detail is wonderful.

Very well done. Kerby #1438656

Thanks so much Donna.I agree we could swap houses, and I head east and you head west...maybe straight away as I am sick of our weather already(yes I know we need the rain but!!.....and it has been the wettest start to winter in 35 years). Thanks also Kate, for me,I love spring and autumn.Summer can get too darn hot,and winter can be a miserable damp cold. But spring and autumn...Its a great place to be.(what time of the year were you last here,Kate?).And thanks Kerby,it was a wonderful day at the beach, when I took this shot.Fairly light extensive cloud which diluted out the sometime harsh colors on a nice autumn day. Thanks to all again for your nice comments. #1440990

Hi Joe, we visited WA in October 2000. We toured around the south west and saw so many glorious beaches and flowers. We stayed for abut 10 days with relatives just outside Freemantle which meant we got to enjoy the company of all you friendly Aussies. Only thing was I didn't take enough warm clothes with me for the spring. #1443859

So you stayed here mid spring Kate.Yes it can be still a bit cold here then.Thats great you travelled south and saw our southern beaches and also you were here at the best time for our wildflowers, which realy are wonderful during spring. An area on the road north to Geraldton from Perth (Eneaba is the location I think) has the highest number of different plant species per unit area than any other region on the planet.I cannot remember the number of different plant species present as it was so many years back that I did Botany units, but it realy was staggering.Freo is a great port city as well.I am glad you enjoyed your stay here and you found the locals friendly. If you do return some time Kate, early summer is great, but Jan and Feb can get a bit over the top temp wise.Winter is a bit cold and damp as well.(as I am feeling and hearing it on the roof as I write). #1449713

When I get time I must sort out my prints and scan some in. We did do a coach tour north of Perth and stopped to look at a whole bunch of flowers by the roadside including Kanagaroo Paws. #1451139

Firstly Claudette my apologies in delay getting back to you,but I have trouble linking in to the direct message sometimes and put it aside till I track it back to the photograph. It was a beautiful day at the beach, just the right cloud to give it the pastel colors. Thanks again Claudette. #1491528
