Ok, Michael. This is getting weird. This is the 3rd photo in your wonderful gallery that I've opened because I like the look of the thumbnail, and each one was taken from a train. Do you ever get out taking pictures, man? :) Your composition and focus at that speed is truly astounding. How perfectly placed that tree is, how amazing is the background. I can see me setting up along the train tracks after waking at dawn, freezing my but off, knowing that once I get the 3 shots I need for the great HDR I plan on processing the next two days have to be perfect so I might as well get extras. Then the train whizzs behind me and you get the mastgerpiece in a moment. My hat is blown off to you, Michael! #8190852

Love this picture, Michael -- beautiful comp & color & of course, one of the best spots on earth (I'm prejudiced as an Oregonian, of course). I haven't seen the Columbia much from the WA side -- you've inspired me to make the trek one of these days! #8459669

Thanks!

It was a really great trip. My brother lives in Gresham, and he took us all around. Oregon is a truly beautiful state! #8459674
