Is This A Trick or a Treat?
(It's a TRICK! How? Well, the base image is a DDR'd photo I Made As a SCREEN SAVER! THEN I held a ball up to the computer and took macros!) HA! The orange is the reflection of my dining room lights behind me! Lol!!! BONUS!)
Hope it's also a treat!!! The finishing touches were done in PSE7 with the smudge tool. This is named: "Looking Glass"

All Of Us Stood, At The Forest Gate. Filled With Reluctance. We Hesitate.

I Look Down, Into The Grass BEHOLD THERE LAY, A LOOKING GLASS!

Upon Holding It Up, Close To Me Vested With, THE POWERS THAT BE

It Said We Are Safe, The Gate To Enter BUT FALL WOULD TURN, INSTANTLY TO WINTER.

Little People Would Wait, For Us There,Who Would Help Us Out, AND SHOW US CARE!!!

be careful Laura!

“May she be granted beauty and yet not
Beauty to make a stranger's eye distraught,
Or hers before a looking-glass, for such,
Being made beautiful overmuch,
Consider beauty a sufficient end,
Lose natural kindness and maybe
The heart-revealing intimacy
That chooses right, and never find a friend.”

Michelle...Only for two days? Why not hang around in there? Just not at 60 dollars an hour, okay? Hee hee!

Nadya, don't be afraid. The rest of us are right here...WITH FLASHLIGHTS!!! :)

And now we come to Jack...

Jack...

Thank you for your bit of Yeats
Spoken at the Forest Gates.
A warning for your little friend
To only on kindness do depend.

Beauty truly is only skin deep
Outwardness we can never keep.
If any truly needs be whole,
It must come from the pure of soul.

Hi Emile and Gina!

The BG is actually a photo of me that I had as my lap top back ground image. So what you are seeing here is a photo of my lap top!

I then held up the glass ball to the lap top and shot this as a macro.

The edges were done with the smudge tool in PSE7.

All simple little DDR tricks. A few people wrote me to ask what the effect was on my forehead. Can you believe it? THAT is the reflection of the hanging lights in my dining room! Lol...I just positioned the computer screen to reflect it there before I held the ball up and clicked! :)))

Thanks for the kind comments and visit!!!

Hi Mr Tree! Hi Heather!! Hi Laura LeeLee!

I have been remiss! What happened??

First I must say...your poem has me wanting to tap my feet and dance, Mr Tree! Goodness, such talent! :D

And Heather, I have always meant to put the Halloween story back in the right order. I wonder if my little brain could still do it? It makes me want to switch over to the other style of gallery where we can make CHAPTERS sort of...and then I can compile the story like a book? Hmmm...sounds like work. Lol...I will try and organize them here one day and then will let you know if you are still interested! :))))) Thank you!

And Laura LeeLee I had so much darned fun making this. Creating is so relaxing for me. I miss it and need to get the ball rolling again.

Thanks very much you three. And ALL OF YOU here.

How time does fly, Pom! From first visit in 2010 to tonight...an entire lifetime for some little critters. Luckily, not for us!
This unique SP remains ultra-cool and an excellent example of how your creative mind spins its magic. And I really like your idea above about putting the Halloween trek through the frigid forest into a "book" with the other type of gallery. Easy for ME to say, isn't it? ;-DDD
But do think about it...sometime after the Tax Season overload at your house. #10985646

Laura E. Swan level-classic February 25, 2014

I love you Mary. That is just all my little heart can say right now. :D

(That really WAS an exciting adventure wasn't it??)

I loved the part where the LIMO was going through the ice forest and a few of the BPers were gettin' Frisky under the blankets while SOMEBODY was running for her LIFE to get in the LIMO!

Ahahahahaha! WHAT A GROUP. You guys make me laugh and laugh.

Thank you. :)))))) I'll keep the other gallery type in mind. I'd be tempted to do it JUST for the two Halloween stories I did and the one year of just spooky creations.

Big hug!
